This is the online shop's customer support section. There is information on every aspect of the online shop, including methods of payment, postal rates and delivery times, transaction security and Balvenie's policies on returning goods and data protection. Payment Methods
Payment for goods can only be made using one of the following credit/debit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB or Switch. Your credit/debit card details will be transmitted via the web to a secure server using encrypted email.

The Balvenie reserve the right to alter the prices of the goods on offer on-line at any time without prior notice. However, the total price quoted will not change after you order has been acknowledged and that price includes VAT, packaging and delivery to the address given in the order form.

Orders will normally be fulfilled within 14 days of receipt. Within 1 working day of receiving your order you will receive a confirmation of your order by e-mail along with your order reference number. This number should be retained for future reference.

To proceed with your order select your items by hitting the Buy button next to the item desired. The chosen items will be added to your shopping basket. Once you are happy with your basket selection hit "Proceed to Checkout". You will then be taken to a secure payment area at WorldPay, where you will be asked for your contact details, debit/credit card Information and delivery address.

Currency
On the basket page you will be able to check the value of your order in your own currency. This is for illustrative purposes only and should not be taken as an accurate reflection of current exchange rates. Your order will be charged in pounds sterling.

Privacy Policy
Personal details, such as name, address, email address, date of birth, and telephone numbers are held on our database to enable fulfilment of your order and, if you have given your consent, so we can alert you to any future offers available through the online store or other information about William Grant & Sons Ltd's brands. Any additional information you have supplied (such as whisky purchasing habits, reasons for purchase, preferred brands etc.) may be used for consumer and market research purposes and to help develop new products. All details supplied are held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and although we may share them with other responsible organisations or third parties in order to help us with market research activities or communicating with you, they will not be used to send you information about any other organisation's products or services.
Credit / debit card details are sent by secure encrypted means to WorldPay, who use them to process the payment of your order. William Grant & Sons Ltd does not have access to your credit card details. Your card details will be kept for a maximum of 14 days after despatch of your order, after which they will be destroyed.

Transaction Security
The information you are viewing at present, along with the other shop pages, is being served from a normal web server. When you hit Buy your basket will appear. This is not secure since it contains no sensitive information, only after pressing checkout will secure pages be in use (cutting down on website download times).
When you hit "Submit Order Details" in the basket you will be taken to the WorldPay secure server and asked to fill in your name, address and credit card details. After confirming the order your transaction is carried out and authorized through the banking network. This process is encrypted using 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) architecture (dependent on browser support), and signed using Thawte Digital Certificates.

Delivery Details
We reserve the right to make alterations to the Postage and Packing rates and to make special discounted offers on these rates. We also reserve the right to contact the purchaser to make alternative arrangements where the order exceeds 6 bottles.
Orders will, under normal circumstances, be fulfilled through Parcel Force. If the order cannot be fulfilled within the usual fourteen-day period we will contact you to arrange a suitable alternative delivery time (see also Returns Policy).

Terms & Conditions
Purchases from The Balvenie online shop are subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The Balvenie online shop is available only to private individuals aged 18 years or over. The Balvenie range of scotch whiskies can only be delivered to UK addresses.

3. We reserve the right to vary the prices of the goods on sale at any time without prior notice. However, the total price quoted will not change after your order has been acknowledged and that price includes VAT, packaging and delivery to the address given in the order form.
4. Orders will normally be fulfilled within 14 working days of receipt. Within 1 working day of receiving your order you will receive a confirmation of your order by email along with your order reference number. This number should be retained for future reference.
5. If, upon delivery of your order, the goods are damaged or incorrect, please complete the returns form (which you will have received with your product) to the address in paragraph 8 below. The cost of any postage incurred will be refunded to your debit/credit card. The goods will be refunded or replaced according to your instructions. Your statutory rights are not affected.
6. If, upon delivery of your order, you change your mind and wish to return all or part of your order for any reason, you may do so within 7 working days of delivery, provided it has not been used. You will be responsible for paying the return postage and packaging (using adequate packaging) and we will refund your debit/credit card with an amount equivalent to the original purchase price of the returned goods (including their original postage charge) within 30 days.
7. So that we can e-mail you with details of special Online Shop offers, we will, if you give us your consent, store your details (name, address and other details) in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We may also use your details for market research purposes - see our Privacy Policy for more details. Your credit/debit card details will not be stored for longer than 14 days after despatch of the goods. Your personal details will not be made available to any third parties unless required by law.
