The new-make spirit is still filled into oak casks maintained by our coopers who are committed to preserving the time-honoured skills and traditions of their age-old craft. Without our own cooperage we could not be so certain of the high quality of the casks we use to mature The Balvenie Single Malts. Skills are passed down from generation to generation as the cooper imparts his knowledge to an apprentice who fashions his casks with tools almost as old as the craft itself.
